USB 3.0
Recently there is a new USB port that is coming out on all the new computer systems. The new USB port will be faster than the current one and the cord will be a bit thicker than your normal one but it should be compatible with what you currently have. The new USB port that I am talking about is USB 3.0 which is suppose to be faster than 2.0 and it should offer maximum speed to transfer one file to another. But currently all of the motherboards that is out in the market right now are not compatible with USB 3.0. If you do have a USB 3.0 ( like I have for example) it will function just like a USB 2.0 unless you want to get the ports update or get a USB 3.0 adapter for your PC
